We have had a lot of contact about “Faulty” Topfield receivers. This is due to the Digital Switchover which is currently taking place along the south coast, other areas will be affected at different times. Customers are being told by some resellers to rescan their receivers after switchover, this is not the whole story. You first need to do a Factory Reset to delete the existing channel listing, then carry out a rescan. Customers with old software on their receivers (anything before 5.13.65N or 5.14.09Plus) will then have channels such as BBC up in the 000s, E.G. 10046. To resolve this a software update will need to be done. As there is not an OTA (Over The Air) update currently scheduled the software is available from www.topfield.co.uk and there are full instructions available on the left "PVR Install Guide" but if help is needed the Technical Department can be contacted on 08712 003 191. |

Topfield.co.kr has released a UNTESTED UK software version 5.15.11 for TF5810PVRt dated Dec 30 2008. Please do not use this version as it does not support the fix for the NIT changes done to some UK transmitters (after rescan some channels in the TV list will show on channel number 1000+). Please only update your Topfield Freeview products with software found on this website as it is tested for the UK & supported by the UK importers. |
